In this workshop, students become designers. Equipped with a real design challenge, they head into the museum galleries toinvestigate the collection. They look beyond aesthetics to discover how designers develop creative solutions to complex problems.
Back in the studio, the real work begins as students move through the different stages of the design process. There are no right or wrong ideas, and no ready-made answers. We encourage them to think big, experiment with materials, sketch their boldestideas, build with cardboard and model with clay. Don't be afraid to fail, because that's where the best innovations begin.
What will they take home? A personal sketchbook filled with bold ideas and their unique creative process. We end the workshop by pitching our designs and sharing how each student sees the world through the eyes of a designer.
