Do you think design is only about beautiful chairs? Think again. Behind every object lies an idea, a story and sometimes a powerful statement. During this guided tour, your students will discover how designers respond to the world of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Together, we explore current issues such as the climate crisis, social inequality and digitalisation. By connecting historical context with contemporary challenges, students learn to think critically. Why was something designed? What impact does it have on ourlives? And why do we see it differently today?
Students discuss the choices designers make and reflect on the influence they have themselves. They discover that they are more than users. They are helping to shape the world of tomorrow. We encourage them to form and defend their own opinionswhile listening to the perspectives of others. Together, we discover how creativity can respond to the major challenges of ourtime.
This guided tour is recommended for students in the first year of secondary education (A stream) and the second and third years of the double finality and academic finality pathways.
