Friendly Fence - Ezra Vollmeier
More about the designerInspired by construction sites as temporary playgrounds, Ezra Vollmeier transforms cold metal site fences into open, playful structures. By bending and rearranging the fences, he creates surprising seating elements and sculptural benches. An everyday barrier becomes an inviting place for rest, meeting and interaction. A clever reinterpretation of urban infrastructure that makes public space more accessible and enjoyable.

More about the designer
Ezra Vollmeier is a Vienna-based designer working between art and design. Through intuitive material experiments, he transforms found and reclaimed materials into functional and expressive objects. He draws inspiration from the city, construction sites and the traces materials carry from their previous lives. In doing so, he gives everyday urban elements an unexpected new story.
