Sharon Van Overmeiren & Studio LOHO
DADA Chapel opens its doors once again. In this former monastery, now home to the artisanal gin distillery of Michel Moortgat, you can see work by Belgian artist Sharon Van Overmeiren, developed in collaboration with Studio LOHO.
Van Overmeiren creates sculptures that balance between object, story, and presence. Starting from familiar forms, she transforms materials into layered creations filled with memory, spirituality, and imagination. Highlights include monumental, hand-shaped clay sculptures that blur the boundary between art and functional object.
Spread throughout the chapel, entrance hall and courtyard, the works engage with the unique atmosphere of this hidden place. In a setting where transformation takes centre stage, from quiet monastery to bustling distillery, her sculptures are provided every opportunity to speak for themselves.
