From park benches to litter bins, everything around us has been designed by someone. The way a city is organised influences how we move, where we meet and whether we feel at home.During this city walk, pupils learn to read the language of the city. Looking through the eyes of a designer, they explore the streets of Ghent, discover the choices designers make and the skills they need. Along the way, they practise observing, thinking and sketching like designers while identifying real-life examples in the city.
The walk concludes with a hands-on design challenge, where pupils use the city's architecture as inspiration for their own ideas.
