Bring your own cardboard: make a protest sign for the climate march

On Saturday, October 10, we are rolling up our sleeves to make protest signs together for the Climate March on Sunday, October 11.

At LABO vzw, we feel the need to engage with social change through emotion, care, and hands-on creativity. Painting, drawing, and writing together strengthens our community—and it’s simply a lot of fun! We’ll inspire one another with powerful messages and striking imagery.

LABO provides a relaxed workspace, signboards, drawing materials, and plenty of inspiration from past years. Feel free to bring your own ideas and creative energy!

Important: Watch your own cardboard

We gladly create a safe(r) space together:

- No form of discrimination or oppression is tolerated. We want to hold ourselves and each other accountable for this.

- If something makes you feel uncomfortable, you can report it.

- Be aware of your privileges and the space you take up. Listen actively to each other and respect each other's boundaries.

- You can indicate if you do not want to appear in photos, so both staff and participants can take this into account.

More about the organization

LABO vzw is a movement for critical citizenship. For us, citizenship isn't about fitting into society as it is, but about reshaping that society together. We believe critical citizenship is built on inclusion and collective action, not exclusion and self-interest. That’s why we empower everyone contributing to a more solidary, inclusive, and sustainable world. LABO stands for "Learning, Acting, Moving, and Organizing" (Leren, Ageren, Bewegen, Organiseren)—verbs that express how we shape our fight for social justice. We offer a space where we learn and create together, connect with other citizenship initiatives, and spark meaningful social change.
