Beste Burgerkot searches for a good recipe for citizen participation and designs a flexible model for public input. In collaboration with De Zuidpoort in Nieuw-Gent, designer Benedicte Mertens translates the insights from the participatory research project 'Beste Burger' into a graphic installation. The installation playfully draws attention in public space and offers seven ways to make your voice heard.

For Design Met Gent, Design Museum Gent selected five remarkable projects that investigate the question: How can design strengthen our democracy? A professional jury made up of museum staff, designers, city employees and representatives of the citizen panel DE40 reviewed the submissions. The projects got to work in the city with great enthusiasm and are presenting their results during our reopening festival.
