Badges/ tapijtjes - Marijs Kempynck
In this creative session, we create badges or little tapestries with symbols, signs, words and images. We weave material of different kinds on a piece of cloth, giving it a second life. The result? A fun and soft gadget.

More about the designer
Marijs Kempynck is a visual artist who follows her own path, guided by poetry, openness and a zest for life. In her practice, she refuses to be tied to a single medium. From wax sculptures to installations and textiles, the idea determines the form.
Textiles are the common thread running through her work, symbolising comfort, tradition and the connections between people across generations. Through cross-disciplinary collaborations and participatory projects, she challenges preconceptions and creates a free space where encounter, movement and transparency take centre stage.
