More about the organisation
Kunsthal Ghent is an experimental hub for the presentation and development of contemporary art. Since 2018, it has been based in a monumental fourteenth-century Carmelite monastery in the centre of Ghent.
At weekends, Kunsthal Ghent functions as an exhibition space. On weekdays, it serves as a workplace for artists and arts organisations, while also hosting public activities ranging from talks and workshops to screenings and performances. Emerging and established artists, both local and international, work and present here through exhibitions or by developing their artistic practice.
