Design in progress
Welcome to our collaborative laboratory. In CO-LAB, a design is never truly finished. It is an ongoing process that continues to evolve through collaboration. Across eight historic period rooms in Hotel De Coninck, CO-LAB explores the relationship between design, social engagement and collective making.
New ideas in historic rooms
Designers, researchers and local communities join forces on seven experimental projects. From queer archiving and ecological co-creation to low-tech energy solutions and open-source tools, CO-LAB brings together diverse voices and perspectives within the museum.
Design as dialogue
In this laboratory, every voice matters.
The exhibition shows that design is more than a finished object. It is a shared process in which materials, knowledge and stories are continually transformed. Together, these different perspectives help shape the future of the city.
