Children’s Arts Day
During Children’s Arts Day, our youngest visitors can let their creativity run wild at Design Museum Gent. Workshops and activities take place throughout the museum, giving them plenty of opportunities to explore, create and have fun. Curious about what’s on the programme? Read all about it below!

VRIJ-spel - Studio Ludiek
Studio Ludiek’s play boxes come with no fixed rules or predetermined goals. Children are invited to rediscover familiar games or invent new stories on the spot. They turn any public space into a playground and become true creators of play themselves.
And they don’t play alone: play is a universal language that brings people together, regardless of their origins or backgrounds. By playing together, children reclaim public spaces and help shape a more inclusive and accessible city.

Welcome to the new studio at Design Museum Gent! Create your own postcard by drawing, weaving, stamping, cutting, embroidering, ... Be inspired by the museum collection or by other visitors.nnThe studio is open throughout the day to everyone, from children to adults.
Belgium’s Biggest Marble Run – Studio Ludiek
With this new project by Studio Ludiek, we’re building what may well be Belgium’s biggest marble run, together with children and adults, right in the heart of Design Museum Gent. Using tubes, gutters and ropes, with the public space as our playground, we’re creating a course that is constantly evolving. Everyone can contribute, adapt, test or improve it.
