On Sunday 13 December, A+ is hosting a series of talks at Design Museum Gent focusing on the new wing and the museum’s renovation and redesign. During these talks, several architects involved in the project will share their vision for the renewed and expanded museum and discuss their individual contributions to the project.
The afternoon is divided into two consecutive sessions. You can choose to attend either one or both. In the first session, Laura Muyldermans and Nord Architectes will present their scenography for the permanent collection. The second session will feature Elmès, who will discuss the exhibition architecture of the temporary exhibition Public Matter(s): Design and Democracy. Olivier Goethals, who created one of the Special Design Projects in the museum, will also share his insights.
How do you create a coherent museum when different design practices work on the same building? These talks offer a unique insight into the design process, from the choices made along the way to the collaboration and interplay between the various parties involved.
The event also celebrates the release of A+320 Practice under Pressure, which features Design Museum Gent as one of its projects.
Register here for one session or join us for both.
