Shine a light on the neighbourhood with Aequo Design

Do you have a forgotten object at home that deserves a second life? Together with the French design duo Aequo Design, we'll transform discarded objects and treasures from local thrift stores into unique candle holders that shine a light on personal stories.

In the lead-up to the reopening of Design Museum Gent, Aequo Design (Tim Defleur & Arthur Lenglin) invites residents of Sluizeken-Tolhuis-Ham to get creative together. During a series of hands-on workshops, we'll experiment with old objects and give them a new purpose. The result? A unique collection of light objects, created by and for the neighbourhood.

From 3 to 11 October, the works will be on display at the former Fluvius site as part of the exhibition Give Light Back. The exhibition is part of the Grand Reopening of Design Museum Gent and Design Fest Gent.
