Open Call Jaarboek Design
Was your design project completed this year or last year, or would you like to write about current themes and trends in design? Designpunt is looking for you to contribute to Jaarboek Design 2025–2027.
The yearbook highlights projects that embody quality and imagination, showcasing how designers are responding to today’s challenges across the field. Its aim is to provide an overview of the most significant developments in Flemish design culture.
It also serves as a starting point for in-depth conversations about content-driven developments and policy in the design field. More than a reference work showcasing outstanding design practices, the yearbook is an invitation to reflection and dialogue.
There are currently two open calls. Submissions are open until 31 October 2026, at 10 pm. An independent jury will make the selection in November.
Open Call Projects
Open to professional designers across all disciplines, from product and graphic design to social design and scenography. Was your project completed or launched in 2025 or 2026? Each selected project will be featured across two pages in this substantial publication.
Open Call Essays
Open to curators, researchers, critics and sharp-minded writers. We are looking for five authors to write an in-depth essay (approximately 2,500 words, written in Dutch or English) exploring an urgent theme in the contemporary design world. Selected authors will receive fair compensation.
