Open call Design Makersmarkt 2026
Design Museum Gent is finally reopening, and we're celebrating in style! On Sunday the 4th of October 2026, we're taking over the streets around the museum for the very first Design Makers Market. We'll bring together 60 designers, makers and creative entrepreneurs, showcasing and selling their work to our visitors.
Will you be one of them?
Who are we looking for?
Are you a designer, maker or creative entrepreneur creating your own work with passion and craftsmanship? This open call is for you.
The Design Makers Market brings contemporary design beyond the museum walls. We want to show that design is not only something to look at, but also something to use, buy and enjoy. By bringing together established designers and emerging makers, we make high quality design accessible to a wide audience.
What you'll find at our market
- Product design, ceramics and jewellery
- Illustration, graphic design, prints and zines
- Textiles and handcrafted creations
- Homeware, accessories and small furniture
The Design Makers Market is not a flea market or second hand market. Vintage, antiques, mass produced goods and commercial reselling are therefore not part of the event.
