Discover the museum café during the Grand Reopening
On Friday, 2 October, we are opening the newly renovated museum featuring a brand-new museum café in Huis Leten. Throughout the entire Grand Reopening—from 2 to 11 October—you can drop by for a bite to eat and a drink, or simply to admire the inspiring interior design.
Bossuyt
Bossuyt, the kitchen designer behind top restaurants such as Noma, designed and installed a professional, detail-oriented kitchen that blends seamlessly into the space. We opted for a stainless steel finish: sleek, bold, and in stunning contrast with the historic Huis Leten.
Rimram
Rimram is a non-profit organisation that loves everything local, social, and genuinely brings people together. They will be providing visitors at our Grand Reopening with refreshing drinks and tasty bites.
Rikkert Paauw
Rikkert Paauw breathes new life into old collection pieces. He selected a series of tables, restored them by hand, and gave them a permanent place in our café. This way, they remain an important and usable part of our museum operations.
Rotor DC
Rotor DC is a cooperative that gives building materials and furniture a new lease of life—which is exactly what they have done for the chairs in our museum café. Following a refresh, the chairs by Emmanuel Vandeputte are given a second life here.
Ateljee
The cutlery and tableware in our museum café are also circular. Thanks to Ateljee, they have found a warm second or even third home with us.
Muller Van Severen
In our museum café, you can also sit on chairs by Muller Van Severen. Some of their designs can be seen in the permanent collection display, but in the café, you are invited to sit on them.
Lionel Jadot
You can discover design right here in the museum café, too. Key eye-catchers include the Crushed Seat, Leather Tim, and Afternoon Lamp by Lionel Jadot.
VIERNULVIER Café
During the Grand Reopening, we are expanding the café with a cosy terrace on Drabstraat. Our friends at VIERNULVIER are happily lending us their terrace chairs and tables, so you can also make the most of the sunshine outside with a cold pint or lemonade.
