2manydjs plays a free set during our pre-party

Design Museum Gent is kicking off its long-awaited reopening with a free pre-party and street party on Friday, October 2. Stephen and David Dewaele just announced in an interview on Studio Brussel’s Radar that Ghent DJ duo 2manydjs will headline. From 8:00 PM, they will play a free set straight from the balcony of the new museum wing. It's our way of launching the Grand Reopening and giving visitors a first taste of the transformed museum.

Join the party

After four years of dreaming, designing, and renovating, Design Museum Gent is reopening its doors on Saturday, October 3. The evening before, everyone is welcome from 6:00 PM onwards for a free pre-party in and around the museum.

Swing by the historic courtyard for live music by Radio Ruit, experimental installations, and eye-catching performances. Up for something truly memorable? You can even get a flash tattoo inspired by a piece from our collection.

Things step up a gear at 8:00 PM with a true Ghent street party, when 2manydjs take to the balcony of the new wing for a live set. The music will echo across the Grasbrug, Graslei, and Hooiaard, inviting everyone to join in and dance.

If you'd like a sneak peek, you can wander through the museum halls for free that evening to check out the new collection display and our opening exhibitions. Check out the full program for the Grand Reopening here.
